We are seeking a skilled Monitoring Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our data exchange interfaces, ensuring smooth transmission of data between our partners and internal systems. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor various interfaces used for data exchange, including file transfers (FTP, File share utilities, Sync points, emails, Shell scripts), APIs, web scrapers, and automated processes.

- Proactively identify and resolve issues with data transmission, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to troubleshoot and resolve interface issues.

- Develop and implement a robust monitoring mechanism to track interface performance and identify potential issues before they escalate.

- Utilize automation tools and techniques to streamline manual processes and improve efficiency.

- Work closely with the team to implement automated processes for retrying and fixing basic interface issues.

- Document all processes and procedures, including building process flow maps and diagrams, to ensure clear understanding and knowledge transfer within the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in monitoring and troubleshooting data exchange interfaces, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Strong understanding of SQL for querying databases and analysing data.
• Experience with writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract and manipulate data effectively.
• Strong understanding of file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP), APIs, and web technologies.
• Experience with Windows Task Scheduler and ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and automation.
