Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Scrum Master to join our team. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating and improving our agile processes, ensuring the team adheres to Scrum principles, and helping to deliver high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including SAFe. Experience in the Life Sciences or Pharmaceuticals industry is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and coach the team on creating well-formed Jira tickets.
  • Create new tickets as needed to ensure the backlog is up to date and reflects current priorities.
  • Monitor project structures and ensure alignment with agile practices.
  • Work with the team to set clear sprint goals and track progress using burn-down charts.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Remove impediments and blockers to ensure the team can work efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to manage the backlog and prioritize work.
  • Ensure the team understands and follows Agile principles and practices.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Track and report on team performance metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Proficiency with Jira or other Agile project management tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Experience in the Life Sciences or Pharmaceuticals industry is a plus but not required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with other Agile frameworks such as Kanban or Lean.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changes in a fast-paced environment.
