Description:
Role: QA Test Lead / Senior QE
Location: Chennai (Sholinganallur)
Experience: 8+ years in quality assurance/testing roles
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases to validate the functionality and accuracy of Power BI dashboards and reports using data from Databricks.
- Collaborate closely with business users, data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design appropriate testing strategies.
- Execute test cases systematically to identify defects, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies within the Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation between Databricks and Power BI to ensure data integrity and consistency across the ecosystem.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end testing process and maintain detailed documentation of test results, issues, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data products.
- Continuously improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data quality assurance efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in quality assurance/testing roles with a focus on data validation, preferably involving Power BI and Databricks.
- Proficiency in creating test scenarios, test cases, and executing test scripts for data-driven applications.
- Strong understanding of SQL queries, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Familiarity with Power BI and Databricks or similar data visualization and processing tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data-related issues efficiently.
- Experience in Agile or similar software development methodologies is a plus.
